A selection of the 3 nuttiest and lemon forward drams on the bar.
1. Craigellachie 17 year old: 46% | 30ml: While most of Craigellachie’s production is still channeled into Dewar’s blends, there’s been consistent efforts to showcase the distillery via official bottlings. First came a 13 year old. The 17 year old and a 23 year old shortly followed.
2. Fettercairn 16 year old by Chester Whisky & Liqueur: 51.5% | 30ml: A very classic distillery, producing an incredibly nutty spirit, that can be overlooked as there hasn’t been an official bottling to date. This particular cask of spirit was matured in an ex-bourbon hogshead.
3. SMWS 53.310 “Kippers in Slippers” 10 year old: 60.7% | 30ml: A wonderful cask of Caol Ila, the distillery known as “Mr. Consistent”. Peanut butter and lemon zest are the well known and expected tasting notes for the spirit.
