SMWS Panel Tasting Notes:

Rich and complex, the nose opened with the opulent scent of sauternes, perfectly paired with buttery brioche and apricots. Earthy tones of leather, autumn leaves and pine cones intertwined with the nostalgic sweetness of toffees. The palate delivered a bold spice kick, melting into vanilla, sticky wine and dehydrated orange wedges. Water unveiled white chocolate mousse, cape gooseberry, lemon posset and a swirl of hazelnut spread. The palate transformed into an out-of-this-world silky chocolate orange cake experience, drying yet nutty, with menthol, chewing tobacco, rancio and a final flourish of crème de cassis. After spending 10 years in an ex-bourbon hogshead, this was transferred to a second fill Australian muscat barrique for the remainder of its maturation.
