A chance to try the long awaited Waterford Irish single malt alongside a 17 year old Irish single cask and a creamy Inchgower.
1. Waterford Edition 1.2 “Bannow Island” Single Farm Origin : 50% | 30ml: The second release from the new Irish distillery, Waterford. This distillery was opened by industry legend Mark Reynier of Bruichladdich fame. Looking at the provenance of the barley to produce “Single Farm” releases, Waterford are looking at terroir in whiskey by focusing the growing conditions and location of the barley. Matured in a combination of 1st fill ex-Bourbon casks, virgin American oak casks, premium French oak casks and finally Oloroso casks for 3 years and 10 months.
2. Tipperary Single Cask 17 Year Old Irish Single Malt, 1st fill Bourbon cask matured: 57.23% | 30ml: This stunning single cask release from the folks at Tipperary distillery, it was distilled in May of 2002 and matured for 17 years in a 1st fill Bourbon cask before being bottled in February, 2020.
3. Inchgower 10 Year Old by Hidden Spirits, refill Bourbon hogshead: 52.9% | 30ml: A stunning drop from Italian independent bottler, Hidden Spirits. Distilled in 2009 and matured for 10 years in a refill ex-Bourbon hogshead, until it was bottled in 2020.
